Evolutionary psychology is not a branch so to speak like other branches of psychology are. Evolutionary psychology is rather to be understood as an ‘approach to psychology' in which we look at the mind, the brain, eventually culture and cultural arrangements by borrowing from another domain. This domain is the established domain of evolutionary biology. Knowledge and principles from evolutionary biology are invoked or adopted in a bid to understand the human brain and the mind. These knowledge and principles from evolutionary biology are used for research on the design and structure of the human mind.
