Why resultant BDD after the apply operation may not be ordered or reduced ?

Answer:

The nodes of the resultant BDD in apply are generated by operations on nodes of the operand BDDs which may be of different orders. So ordering is not maintained. Similarly, results of operations may be same which lead to redundant nodes that are to be reduced.
