AC susceptibility technique:

AC susceptibility or dynamic magnetic susceptibility is complementary to the measurements in the static magnetic field, which becomes indispensable, especially for investigations of phase transitions and magnetic relaxations in paramagnetic salts, spin glass, superparamagnetism, low dimensional magnets, superconductivity materials, etc.

Figure 31.01 displays the typical setup constructed for measuring AC susceptibility and electrical resistivity using a glass cryostat in the temperature range 80 K to 400 K.
