Magnetic Force Microscopy (MFM)

• MFM has a similar structure to AFM, while the tip is magnetic, and it examines magnetic domain structures of thin films.

• Typically an MFM tip is achieved by coating an AFM tip with a thin Co layer

In a typical MFM mode, the lift-height in the interleave scan is 10-100 nm
