Figure 12.02 displays the typical arrangements of slide projector and TEM technique. In TEM, the magnetic lenses are used to control the e-beam path (quite similar to the glass lenses used in the light microscope) and the final image of the specimen is projected on fluorescent screen (projection screen in slide projector). A suitable aperture is used to select the important portion of the materials for the investigation.
