Modified Williamson-Hall Plot (MWHP) Method:

The deviations are larger when the material being studied is elastically anisotropic, where the residual strains affect some Bragg reflections more than others. Ungar and co-workers suggested methods to take this into consideration through the introduction of a dislocation contrast factor Chkl [3].

Figure 5.04 displays the different plots of XRD peaks data using MWHP method without taking into dislocation factors. It is evident that the data points are not falling in a simple straight line.
