Steps in the process

• The process of Eutrophication can be roughly divided into the following steps based on the progress of process:

1. Addition of nutrients

2. Growth of plants/algae

3. Death of plants/algae

4. Growth of bacteria

5. Lack of Oxygen and other unfavourable conditions for existing living entities

6. Suffocation and death of living entities, Sedimentation because of excess waste(Detritus)

7. Death of the water body and eventual drying of land
