Therefore we may theorize the body as a site of both corporeality and socio-cultural incorporation. As a generator and holder of ideas, as an object in the world, and as a defining parameter of human beings, the body is integrated into cultural, political and economic structures. Corporeality or incorporation is not an entity which is discreet. It is related to objects, ideas, and political, cultural and economic structures. There is again an ensemble of ideological practices that organize diverse entities into coherent wholes in a bid to give a certain illusion of cultural stability. We shall see now how these points apply specifically to the body.
