Water loss through Evapotranspiration.
The maximum ET loss that would occur under soil water content near field capacity is referred to as Potential ET (ETp), which is usually below Pan Evaporation (50-90% of Pan Evaporation)
Water Use Efficiency (WUE): the amount of water required to produce a unit weight of dry plant material, such as the Transpiration Ratio (water/dry matter, ranges from 200:1 to1000:1).
