Multi-generator systems

In a realistic system, there are many interconnected generators. Moreover, in practice there is no "infinite bus". The rotor angles swing relative to one another during transients although they settle to the same electrical speed if stable. Aggregate motion of the entire system (all masses move together) is also possible in addition to the relative motion. This is illustrated below by the spring mass analogy.
