The finger position of thepinch grip is where the fingers are on one side of an object, and the thumb is on the other (plate 13A). Typically, when we lifta book (plate 13B) the palm does not touch, the thumb remains in one side while the other four fingers grip. Naturally is a weaker grip position compare to other grips. The pinch grip is used when grabbing something like a weight plate or lifting a knife (plate 13C) by the top edge.
