We at NPTEL believe in the holistic growth of our learners. We want our learners to not just improve their technical skills through our online courses, but also polish their soft skills.

To make our learners industry ready, we have put together a Soft Skills Training program. This program will include the following activities.

Employability Assessment Test
Pearson English Test Online
Online interactive sessions

Cost involved for learners

We are offering this training program free of cost to NPTEL learners with funding from our CSR partners.

Eligibility to participate in this training program

The college has to be an ACTIVE Local Chapter AND The student should have appeared for at least 1 NPTEL exam (Toppers/NPTEL stars have preference)

Mandatory participation in the Employability Assessment Test and submit their Resume.
Mandatory participation in the Interactive Training Session (at least 80% of attendance is mandatory & students have to complete activities given by the trainer.)
Mandatory participation in the Doubt Clearance session.

Mandatory participation in the Pearson English Test

Interpersonal Skills	Importance of body language, grooming, Interview Skills - How to handle interviews, how to present oneself during the interview.
Social Networking in Context Job Search	The impact of social networking, virtual networking, the benefit of having good networks, how to create a presence in the virtual networks and how to search for appropriate jobs on different job portals. How to create LinkedIn account, what details should be added to the account to make it attractive enough for a recruiter/viewer.

I am Kumaran C, SPOC(1168) of Sri Akilandeswari Women's College, Wandiwsh. Our College students around 50 members attended the summer Soft skill training program. First of all, I would like to thank everyone in the soft skill training program. The program was really helpful to rural women students. Before attending the program , students were lacking to write resumes and freaking to attend interviews. After undergoing this training program they gained a lot of knowledge. We are expecting same to our upcoming final year students, Once again thanks to NPTEL team and Soft Skill Trainers

Dear NPTEL Team, We thank you for the opportunity extended to our students for attending the Soft Skill Training Programme in June 2021 for about 6 days, followed by Mock-interview and English Pearson Test. 25 students from various departments benefitted through this program. Firstly, the coordination and support offered by the NPTEL team deserves great appreciation. The NPTEL team coordinated with us from the beginning till the end and was available for any clarifications and support that we needed. The session was extremely well planned and shared all the details about the agenda of the training programme and all relevant communication promptly with us. It was easy to coordinate from our end as the students belonged to various departments. Able trainers handled the session and the inputs and insights they shared in these programs with our student-trainees were very useful. The students also gave positive feedback about the training. They felt that the comments and suggestions given during the mock interview would go a long way in identifying their mistakes and developing them. Thank you again for this opportunity.
