Exercise- i

A pyritic ore is reduced with hydrogen according to the following reaction:

 

The ore contains inert solid (gangue). Twenty five percent excess hydrogen is used, and the cinder (solid residue) remaining contains  by weight.

Calculate the volume of furnace gases (at  and 1 atm) per 100 kg of ore charged.
