Theorem 36.8:

If $f$ and $g$ are a pair of continuous maps from $S^n$ to itself such that $f({\bf x}) \neq g({\bf x})$ for every ${\bf x} \in S^n$. Then $g$ is homotopic to $A\circ f$.
