Self-Assessment Question and Possible Answer

  1. Logical form of a proposition is hidden by its grammatical form. Briefly explain.
  2. Ans.: Let us take an example of having these sentences; 'Unicorns are fictitious' and 'Dogs are faithful'. Here, both the statements are of same grammatical form but differ in their logical form. It is so because dogs must exist in order to have the property of being faithful. But the problem arises with the unicorn. Unless unicorn exists the property of being fictitious will not exist.
