Conclusion
Man and the social world are intricately related. Social world shapes a man’s personality and his personality determines his action. This justifies our earlier position that to build a value based society we have to work at both the levels – individual and society. A society whose institutions are based on self-interest is unlikely to create a selfless person and a society based on equality and harmony is likely to be more conducive to creation of a moral person. It is inconceivable that a person given to greed and self-interest can ever become a source of great and enduring reforms in society. If reforms and revolutions are created by selfish and insecure persons they are soon likely to produce to a despotic state than a humanistic order.
