Identification of the major problems of Indian society

The manifesto indentifies a number of problems:

• A weak Prime Minister.

• Reversal of NDA’s policies leading to a mounting sense of insecurity fuelled by repeated terrorist attacks, Maoist insurgency and separatist violence which together have claimed hundreds of innocent lives.

• Gross mismanagement of the economy causing inflation, job losses and lockouts.

• Corruption at high places.

• Misuse of agencies of the state, namely the CBI.

• The above economic trends are closely associated with cultural fragmentation and pluralism.

• Unemployment in the unorganized sector and loss of jobs by the skilled workers in the organized sector

• Farmers’ suicides.
