Identification of the major problems of Indian society
The manifesto indentifies a number of problems:
A weak Prime Minister.
-
Reversal of NDA’s policies leading to a mounting sense of insecurity fuelled by repeated terrorist attacks, Maoist insurgency and separatist violence which together have claimed hundreds of innocent lives.
-
Gross mismanagement of the economy causing inflation, job losses and lockouts.
-
Corruption at high places.
-
Misuse of agencies of the state, namely the CBI.
-
The above economic trends are closely associated with cultural fragmentation and pluralism.
-
Unemployment in the unorganized sector and loss of jobs by the skilled workers in the organized sector
-
Farmers’ suicides.
