Module 7: Political approaches
  Lecture 21: Manifesto of BJP

Critique of government policies after independence

The manifesto claims that during freedom struggle there was an attempt to define the civilisational consciousness of India rooted in Bharatiya or Hindu world view, in holistic and spiritual terms. It accepts that diversity is inherent in the scheme of creation; it is the manifestation of the same cosmic entity in different forms. Hence it not only accepts diversity but respects it and even celebrates it. This view of life seeks unity in diversity and has always exhibited an inclusive approach. There is an urge to implement the model of Integral Humanism as suggested by Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay on the basiso of which “BJP is committed to work for creating a modern, powerful, prosperous, progressive and secure India.”
