Paradigm in Nature

Nature is the wealth of design solutions. Many of them are paradigmatic, such as layers of onion(nesting) or the way Kangaroo caries its baby in the pouch (plate1C). Stacking spoons or dinner platesuses the paradigm of the construction of onion layers. Similarly, baby inside the womb survives is an amazing paradigm of living being. The paradigm of floating (buoyancy) in fluids protects the baby from outershocks for months. The same principle may be applied to fragile-product packaging design process.

The construction of beehives inspired to develop geodesic structural principles and extension of the same inspired to create modular design and structures. Modular Design or "modularity in design" is an approach that divides a system into smaller parts (modules). So that, each part/section could be independently created and then used in different systems to drive multiple functionalities. Designers have to search for such paradigms that would spark in developing new ways of solutions.
