Types of Hand Grips

Even though hand having bones the number of flexible gestures that it can perform remains extremely complicated. Human beings are other similar species can grip objects in several ways. Human beings have invented wide range of varieties to utilize the hand’s operation. These different ways, and different types of grip strength, are typically quantified based on the way the hand is being used. The direction of hand also exerts right kind of pressure.

Our hands can perform multitasking while each finger and their grips would undertake various tasks. Depending upon the desired work hand would exert pressure soft and hard, touch softly or with pressure, etc. Hence, the nature of task would determine the types of grip and pressure required. The shape and size of the object would determine the type of grip (plate 10A). Unscrew a nob requires the precise position of the index finger and thumb while the other fingers would be supporting the job. Pressing a switch button requires, in most cases the index finger to do the operation. On the other hand unscrewing a bottle-cap (plate 10B) requires a firm grip of the fingers along with the pressure and holding of the inner palm. Thus, hand and fingers can do multiple jobs with coordination of various parts of the hand.
