A gymnast performs bending and flexing paradigm simultaneously. The angle of the leg changes while the bending of the exoskeletons of the back bones. Flexing and bending are simple forms changes compared to the overwhelmingly complex transformations, wherein caterpillars (plate 5D) turn into butterflies (plate 5C).

Lifting something from ground one goes through flexing and bending movements. In nature (plate 5A) we find the transformation of bending and flexing paradigms that inspires us for innovative design solutions (plate 5B).
