Some facts and figures about the periodic table development

• The periodic classification of the elements is among the outstanding contributions to the development of chemistry
• Periodic classification was started in early 1800 by first Berzelius and later by Stas.
• First periodic system development of elements was done by Russian D. I. Mendeleev
• Mendeleev classification was based on atomic weight ( Periodic law) – 1871
• First long form or modern periodic table was proposed by Rang (1893) and by Werner (1905) – based on their electronic configurations ( atomic numbers)
