National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is an MoE project which was initiated in 2003 to provide quality education for all those who have the interest to learn. Every semester about 250 – 300 courses are offered for certification to anyone to enrich their knowledge database.
Currently, NPTEL is working towards bringing in an industry perspective to its technically rich courses which led to the inception of NPTEL INDUSTRY ASSOCIATE (NIA). NPTEL aims to partner with organisations in a mutually beneficial manner by offering courses to train the freshers and to cross-skill and up-skill the existing workforce. It just requires 3 steps to become an INDUSTRY ASSOCIATE OF NPTEL.
Step 1: Fill the Form.
Step 2: Sign the MoU .
Step 3: Once you receive acceptance consent from NPTEL, your organization becomes an Industry Associate.
NPTEL is aiming towards greater advancements in this new initiative of Industry associates.

A Memorandum Of Understanding is signed to formalize the partnership between the Industry/Corporate and NPTEL.
This alliance is aimed at those segments of your Company, (if not the entire Organization itself), to whom our services will be beneficial and who could be a value ad to NPTEL too.
We are open to establish a formal partnership with either of the following.
1. Entire organization
2. Business division alone
3. Training division alone
4. Recruitment division alone
5. Operations alone
6. A part of Operations alone (may be location based)
7. Any other segments with whom there are mutual benefits
NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning), is a joint venture of the IITs and IISc, funded by the Ministry of Education (MoE) Government of India, and was launched in 2003. Initially started as a project to take quality education to all corners of the country, now, offers close to 200+ courses every semester. The technical courses are being offered in about 22 disciplines. Text transcriptions are provided along with the course content. The possibility of translating the transcripts is also being considered.
NOC stands for NPTEL Online Certification. The primary objective was to provide e-learning through free online web and video courses. Today, NPTEL offers MOOCs of 4/8/12 weeks duration which are free for enrolment. USP of the NPTEL certification process which lends credibility, is the final proctored certification exam for which the candidate has to appear in-person at designated centres available in more than 100+ cities across India. All the candidates who successfully complete the examination will get a certificate from NPTEL with the logo of the institute whose faculty offered the course.
Enroll into a course -
The number of enrollments is not limited. There is NO cost for enrollment. Weekly assignments are a part of this.
Register for the exam -
Registration can be done ONLY for the already enrolled courses of the SAME semester. The maximum number of registrations is four, i.e., a candidate can take upto 4 exams in the same semester.
