Course Name: Twentieth Century American Drama

Course abstract

This course attempts to introduce learners to some of the fundamental texts that define twentieth century American drama. Focusing mostly on canonical texts, this course seeks to provide a foundation to the genre and the period, thereby enabling the learners to pursue the domain on their own.

Merin Simi Raj is Assistant Professor in English at IIT Madras. Her research interests include Memory Studies, Historiography studies, Kerala Modernity studies and Digital Humanities. Her work has appeared in Journal of Postcolonial Writing, Postcolonial Text and Economic and Political Weekly among others.
