Course Name: Physical Modelling for Electronics Enclosures using Rapid prototyping

Course abstract

Physical modelling of an electronics equipment is needed to understand the issues of layout and final User interface. Traditionally Models were used for representing features and later considerable time was needed to convert the same to present design solutions. With the advent of Computer Aided Design it is now possible to design complex prototypes and interchange data with other designers. Rapid Prototyping (loosely understood as 3D printing) is now accessible to all. However part detailing is very specific to the type of Fused Filament Depositing and some issues relating to fastening, closure, stiffness, assembly and lay up need to be understood is detail. Similarly Laser cut slat sheets are needed in certain situations. This course aims to give an introduction and participants can start off from here.
