The emitter base junction of transistor is forward biased, so that the majority carriers from the emitter move towards the base and the current I E flows in the emitter base loop. The base collector junction is reversed biased, thus it prevents the flow of majority charge carriers in the base, however, the majority carriers, from emitters, entering the base are accelerated towards the junction and are drifted to the collector. Thus a very low current flows through the base. The emitter current is nearly equal to the collector current
