Procedure:

1. Make the circuit shown in figure 1.1
2. Record the voltage across the diode (V) and current (I) through it as a function of input voltage.
3. Repeat the experiment for the reverse biased diode (circuit 1.2).
4. Plot the I-V characteristic of diode under forward and reverse biased conditions. Use proper scale for the two cases. (Fig.1.3 and Fig. 1.4)
5. Find the equation of dc load line and plot it along with I-V characteristics under forward bias condition.
