is assumed to be zero. We can determine the potentials at the internal nodes by using two methods which are explained as follows.

Interactive Method:

In this method we start by setting the initial values of the potentials at the internal nodes to be zero (or any other reasonable guessed initial values).

The potential of these nodes are modified iteratively as explained in the Fig 8.4 shown below till the values attain a prescribed degree of accuracy.
