Advantages

  • Superheated steam can be used to generate electric power. It is claimed that one CDQ unit of capacity can generate 18 MW power.
  • In CDQ there is no “puff of while smoke”, thus working environment is clean
  • In generating electric power, CDQ does not produce the green house gas. It is claimed that reduction of CO2 by CDQ is nearly equivalent to that an oil burning boiler produces when it generates 18MW electric power.
  • Coke quality is considerably improved which results in decrease in coke rate in blast furnace.
