  • Correspondingly we will be having: 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16 (total 12 equations) with right hand side terms as known( i.e. zero ).
  • Rest of four equations (i.e., 1, 3, 13, 15) can be removed (i.e. corresponding rows & columns can be eliminated) since it contain shear forces as additional unknown in the right hand side .
  • From the displacement information we will have the 1 st , 3 rd , 13 th and 15 th columns multiplied by zero (i.e. due to corresponding displacement from B.Cs.) so these columns will not contribute any term in totality.
  • Shear forces which are nothing but forces being transmitted through the bearing can be obtained once displacements are known.
