  • Mixed boundary condition is the most difficult to apply
  • Notice that  implies transfer of heat in the direction of increasing ‘x’. Similarly  the equn implies transfer of heat from ‘∞’ towards the ‘wall’ condition and equating these as shown in the previous slide implies convection also in the positive ‘x’ direction. This consistency is required to get proper results.
