Module 13: Conclusion
  Lecture 40: Conclusion

Here distributive justice refers to justice in allotment of different positions to different members of society and commutative justice refers to just relationships between people holding different positions. Frameworks like Jeevan Vidya come to our rescue. My identity as a human being forces me to think humanly, i.e., in the interest of human race. Even if I find all apocalyptic trends all around I as a human being have to do something to express my human nature for the further development of humanity. I have to ask in what sense I am human. What is my responsibility towards humanity? Is defense of humanity a separate thing than a defense of myself? It is only by assuming the role of a human being that I can join my happiness with the perfectibility of and harmony in society. Jeevan Vidya also reveals how my humanity is connected with life and how life is connected with matter, and finally how both life and matter are connected with existence. Disharmony at any level is bound to produce disharmony at all other levels.
