Module 13: Conclusion
  Lecture 40: Conclusion

In this situation there are innumerable fights, innumerable protests, and innumerable revolutions which incapacitate agents on any and every front and make them lose faith in all packaged ideas and methods of change. In society no simulation package works perfectly. Each of the protests has its own ontology, own metaphysics, own epistemology, own construction of future, own understanding of the present moment, own language and own discourse. What is the result? Growing apocalyptic tendencies: Naxalism, terrorism, extremism and destruction. They are occupying more and more of cyber space and media time today. One is tempted to believe that such tendencies are going to rise further. However, it will be to shirk from one’s human responsibility and human sensibility to believe in or contribute to chaos or the apocalyptic ideas. Believing in or expressing apocalyptic ideas particularly harms the interests of the disadvantaged sections and leads to status-quo. We have to think more optimistically and more humanly. Positivism in human issues is not a substitute of normative thinking. What is more probable is not necessarily to be more supported. Thus end of the world may look to be more probable but it is not something to be supported.
