The cosmopolites include artists, writers, musicians, and entertainers as well as other intellectuals, students, and professionals. They stay in city for the ‘cultural’ facility that is located only near the centre of the city. The young urban professionals staying in Manhattan would exemplify this group.

The unmarried or childless:

Many cosmopolitans are childless. Others rear children in the city, especially if they have the means for hiring help. The less affluent ones move to the suburb to raise kids.
