  • Men and women who find it desirable to escape from social scrutiny find this anonymous situation desirable and it is thus that they are found in such areas. These areas are marked by a high level of deviance. But the ultimate reason lies in economic factors associated with the CBD.

Apart from the CBD and the slum which are two distinctive areas that make up the spatial pattern of the city, the city is organized territorially as a constellation of diverse natural areas and natural areas are the habitats of natural groups.
