One of the most significant aspects of the qualitative research is that it enables researchers to use counterstructural method whereby they can verify if the subjects agree with their findings. This also enables the power gap between the research and the subjects and de-emphasizes the distinction between expert knowledge and lay perceptions ( Wilson , 1983). The next lecture argues that compared to the exclusive use of one methodology or methods, it may often be very useful to mix them.
