The traditional handcrafted artifacts are admired by human being across the world in every civilization. Compare to the modern mass produced machine-made products handicraft has always inspired people’s imagination, affection and admiration. The warmth of human touch and effort in creating handcrafted items has remained dear to all. Handcrafted products may not produce perfect products made the lathe machine or in CNC machines but it generates human feeling and expresses sentimental attachment that are usually missing in mass produced objects. Kitchenware, furniture design to ornamental products, handicraft has for generations looked after to the need of the common men. Naturally the traditional craft products might have changed their apparent imagery and material however the essence remained same for centuries.

Handicraft includes many different crafts that are used traditionally in everyday life- agriculture, embroidery, knitting, handmade paper, leather products, weaving, stained glass, pottery-ceramics, metalwork, toy making and woodwork all are some of the examples of handicrafts, as only our hands design and fabricate using simple tools produce artistic objects used in daily life.
