Wing Paradigm
Wing Paradigm is combination of multiple paradigms. A wing expands upon the Arm Paradigm (see Human Body Paradigm chapter) by stretching a skin across the straight elements, bones, or ‘ribs’. Internal structure of wing might be similar to an arm stretching skin is the important distinction in the Wing Paradigm. Wing Paradigm is related to variable surface flexible areas, with a tensile membrane well-supported by a rigid structure (plate 30B). Tensile structure builds a structural network which is covered by skin (plate 30B). Dragon Fly, Bat etc has similar tensile structural elements that remain sandwiched by skin covering from the both sides (plate 30B). The skin serves to catch wind (plate 30A), water, or soil, while the ribs/ tensile act support the skin, transmit forces to the body, and, perhaps, to support nails or claws at the edge of the wind.
