The elasticity of the body allows it to behave like rubber band. In other word, the material it is made of stretches and returns back in the place like a rubber band. When it is pushed, pulled, or twisted it fights back. Elasticity has its limit until it breaks due to the tension. The elasticity can bear only its limit of tension and stress. Human body has similar quality, which is shown in the Floor Gymnastics sports (plate 29D) demands extreme stretching exercise. Along with stretching, shrinking (plate 29A) is also basics of learn skating. In the Gymnastic Floor exercises (plate 29B) the human body has to exhibit the elasticity of the body like rubber band with extreme stretching and shrinking. Performance in Gymnastic Ring (plate 29C) one has to demonstrate extreme skill to maintain balance, stretch and the equilibrium. Animal beings therefore have the quality of stretching and shrinking capacity. 

Hooke’s Law (Robert Hooke, UK 1635- 1703) of elasticity scientifically explains the amount of departure from rest shape is called deformation; the proportion of deformation to original size is called strain.

The Hooke’s Law deals with the stretching ability with the help of Elasticity and its property, and Plasticity to explain their limitations and stress qualities. Each material has its own plastic quality that supports its limitation in deformation. In this respect human beings show enormous ability in stretching and shrinking quality.
