Obviously in modern period space has become the most sought after thing in design.Space has effected in every part of our living condition. Urban space has become a costly commodity.Hence, designers have to think for much effective solution to tackle the problem. In a smaller space how to accommodate more persons and still feel spacious has become a major challenge. Modern Drawing room (plate 7B) creates larger space with the help of simple form,lightweight furniture and allowing natural light. Hence, the problem is identified and suitable solution is proposed. In design paradigm and ‘problem identification’ are correlated. While confronting a problem paradigm could become the source for solution.Therefore, at this stage one has to clarify, what is ‘problem’ and it’s characteristic. ‘Problem’ identification is one of the major areas that raise many importantissues. Therefore in order to understand the character of ‘problem’ we may have to address some of the followings issues.
