| Combined Correction |
Whenever corrections for several effects such as slope, tension, temperature, sag etc are to be applied, for convenience they are combined as a single net correction per nominal tape length. When corrections are applied to the observed length of a line measured between fixed points (designated measurement) with a tape that is too long, the correction is added and vice versa. |
