Module 2 : Measurements and Errors

In any surveying operation, a sequence of ordered physical works needs to be carried out to find the measurement of a quantity. After all the operations (including office work) get completed, each measured quantity is assigned with a numerical value and is called the “measurement” of the particular quantity. Thus, the measurement of a quantity is really an indirect thing i.e., a numerical representation of a physical quantity.
