- Suitable arranging the bored wells - Bored wells are generally used when the water table has to be lowered beyond 15m. In this method, well is bored in the ground at a distance of 5m to 40m, depending upon the soil condition. Pumps are installed at this water table level. A typical well is shown in the figure.
