Rainfall measurement

The instrument used to collect and measure the precipitation is called raingauge.

Types of raingauges:
1) Non-Recording :- Symon’s gauge

2) Recording

  • Tipping-bucket type
  • Weighing-bucket type
  • Natural-syphon type
