Spray Combustion Model

Assumption:

  • Steady, 1-D flow, Laminar, inviscid
  • Mono-dispersed droplets.
  • Pressure remains constant during combustion.
  • Droplets move with same velocity as that of air.
  • Vaporization and ignition begins at x=0.
  • Mixing and chemical reaction times are quite small as compared to droplet vaporization time.
  • Constant thermophysical properties.
  • Dilute spray.
